Of all the topics in today's newspaper, this one small blue Ad by MTV about the institution of marraige seemed to be of some kind of relevance in my life ... According to the Ad 77 % of the youth believe in the institution called marraige. I, for all the right reasons do not trust anything from MujraTV, but still would like to give my view of this institution, especially the Arranged marraige practice of which i am a strong supporter considering the intricacies in the lives of todays youth ... All the punks who have voted and have been a part of the remaining 23 % will remain wankers after their 40s ..... Imagine ur lonely life , a pile of stinky underwears lying around, eating last nights pizza for lunch, all ur freinds married and though they do not let it on your face, curse you every time u plan to visit their place .... Anyways my Topic here is Arranged marraiges.
Considering the improving hold of women in India which is one of the best things that has happened in the past few decades, guys really do not have to feel macho about their fair skin, bank balances, six packs etc ... We have celebrated enough of freedom for women (atleast in the developed cities) just like celebrating 25 years of India winning World cup ....It is time we realize we guys no more have the upperhand in the case of arranged marraiges as well. Times have drastically changed for us, now girls do not surrender to our fake suicide attempts / blade cuts and neither are these days for real filmy stuff like red roses or little hearts biscuits ... Also looking into the age old fact that it hits our ego the worst when a girl says no, it is better we do not take risk and invest our non-renewable time in relationships which might look like a fixed deposit scheme ...
Another important fact that drives the arranged marraige set up is the fact that half of us cannot even smalltalk with the girls sitting next to us, forget about asking them out .... Well i don't say all the guys of today suffer from this Selective mutism like Raj Kuthrapali, but the ones who have this problem do not break the prism and come out of it.. Where do they have the time .. from the Age of 10 to 17, you are busy preparing for the JEE and after that you have to score a 9 GPA for which you need to slog out 20 hours a day, then you go to a B school where you lose contact with the outer world to get a 20 LPA job.. Now that you got what you want, would you mind going around and try to mingle with girls who supposedly are from the distant lands of Magrethea ... Ohh no you would bore them.. So stay away for your own good.. This happens quite often in the southern part of India in a wierd city called Hyderabad... I can assure you more than 80 % of the guys from middle class families in hyderabad irrespective of whether they have cleared the JEE or not are losing their identity and are finding themselves lost amongst a flock of Sheep who run South / westwards every morning to find solace in the concrete n glass jungles of hitech city ... I am a strong believer of the fact that abolishing all the competitive exams which give you direct admissions to undergrad courses is the only way our students will focus on LIVING a life .....
Considering the fact that you get married the only way to guarantee ur wife would be with you is because of the BOND called Arranged marraige where the girl is prepared to live all her life with you ... You really don't have to succumb to pressures of buying Sarees , jewelery , ice creams, roses blah blah .. Coz everytime you can say , i told you about my job before we got married, then why did you say yes at that time ..... Even if she leaves u and runs away, within 3 days their parents are always there to send her back as long as u r not a sadistic alcoholic .... So all in all call it feasibility or risk free option, i would give a free advice for the boys who want to live a happy married life - ARRANGED MARAIGE will keep you healthy n wealthy all your life ....... Looking at my past relationships i have decided - I am going to marry a girl my Mom shows even though i do not have any selective mutisms or time constraints ....
